Creating compelling content pieces on your blog can be a difficult task for many site owners. We always think we know what readers want to learn about, but this is not always the case. It can also be very tough to find content that no one has written about. It’s important to know what makes content compelling to readers. Even once you create an awesome article, then what? Just posting a blog to your site doesn’t mean people will come to read it. Syndicating your content is a necessity when it comes to becoming a powerful blogger.
There are many ways to get your content in front of readers. One very popular way is to place your content within comments that are relevant to the topic. This can be a very tricky, yet very rewarding tactic. To successfully execute this much time needs to be spent monitoring sites that are similar to your niche.
Be active on niche related sites
When a site posts an article that may be related to yours, this is the time to shine and get some exposure to your article. For us we had an article written about different types of Japanese frozen yogurt. One day on the social bookmarking site Reddit, there was an image post about a black sesame flavored ice cream a user had recently tried. This was our chance to share some of the different flavors of Japanese frozen yogurt with the world. In the comments section we mentioned “here’s some more odd flavors”, linking to the article. Throughout the week the post gathered steam, which resulted in over 2,400 visitors coming to the blog post. People found the article fun and interested which resulted in people sharing it and linking to it.
Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as simply posting to a site and receiving 2,400 new clicks to the site. You must constantly monitor and be active on sites where you can submit content and comments. Not only do you have to regularly check these sites, you must create content that is relevant and intriguing to readers. Although it can be time consuming, it can be very beneficial if done correctly.
