Google slap is the term used by advertisers when they got punished by Google. Google always supports advertisers to post a better advertisement and users to have a better experience. That is why they have their rules and regulations for AdWords. If anybody violets then Google may slaps that account.
There are different types of Google slaps, some are minor and less effective but there are some which can create a lot of problems for the advertisers. Google slaps an account for using bad or irrelevant keywords and this type of slaps are least serious slaps. If an account faces low click rates problem then Google can slap it. For an example if an users lands on a webpage for the keywords and after landing if the users does not get enough information or if the website fails to fulfill user’s expectation by giving expected information then that user will be unhappy and will blame Google. To avoid this, Google slaps bad keyword ed webpage or accounts.
Domain level slap is another type of Google slap. Google always prefers original information. There are websites which share same contents. There are websites which copied contents from other websites. And Google does not want its users to see copied information and that is why they slap such websites or accounts which do not have original information. If any website got hijacked and if other websites copied it’s information, Google will still consider that as copy and will take action. So this is important for website owners to have a look on the web and if they find any unauthorized use of their information then inform Google about that so that Google does not take actions against them. In case of domain level slaps, Google decreases the quality scores of an account and then it becomes very difficult for the advertiser to put advertisement through AdWords.
Permanent ban is the most serious type of Google slap. Google slaps are like warnings and if any user overlooks the warning and repetitively does the same mistakes then Google slaps that account permanently. After that this is not possible for the advertiser to advertise again from that account. Other associated accounts to the banned account can be banned as well.
Google always wants to provide the best service to its users and they do not compromise with quality. If any website gives bad experience to users and if Google catches this then they will slap. Its better to be careful before it happens.
