Every year hundreds of SEO events take place around the globe and lets face it, making it to all is not practical. Some of these conferences are aimed at advanced marketers, while others are aimed at small businesses and new site owners. Whichever you are there’s always an event for you. We’ve created a list of the top SEO conferences that will be taking place in the United States during 2015. Let us know which ones you are looking forward to or will be attending.
MozCon
July 13 – 15 in Seattle, WA
Everyone in the marketing community knows of Moz, and I’m sure 99% have utilized their tools or information at some point. MozCon will feature three days of speakers from around the industry. Some of the speakers include Rand Fishkin of Moz, Adam Singer of Google, Mig Reyes of Basecamp, and Joanna Wiebe of Copy Hackers. The schedule of events is not set in stone quite yet, however, there will be a #MozCrawl, A networking event, and a closeout Night Bash. The event is held at the Washington State Convention Center on the fourth floor.
SES Miami
March 26 in Miami, FL
SES Miami packs an entire SEO and PPC conference into an all day event with plenty of information and topics. The conference starts off with a keynote speech by Maile Ohye of Google right at 9am. Maile Ohye works with Google’s webmaster tools and search departments where she advocates for site owners. Since joining the Google team in 2005 she has had her hand in multiple projects that have shaped Google search.
A majority of the events are split into PPC and SEO sections, where they both address major issues and concerns happening in the industry. Some of the SEO topics include ‘How to recover from Google Panda’ and ‘Utilizing Content to Build Better Links’. PPC topics include ‘Optimizing your Paid Media’ and ‘Paid Search Analytics’.
SMX Advanced
June 2-3 in Seattle, WA
Another event taking place in Seattle this year is the SMX Advanced. It is just that as well, advanced. This conference is aimed at search marketers who know the industry, know the lingo, and know the basics. Sessions are fast paced, and aimed to cover lots of information in a short amount of time. The event is spread over two days, but there’s lots to cover in those two days. Events are broken down into three categories SEO, PPC, and local/social, so plan ahead and find which workshops you would like to attend. As always there’s a closing event, this one presented by Moz, and it will be held the second evening at the Garage.
