Now we all know how helpful a well designed and informative infographic can be. However, there’s more to creating one than just having something that looks nice. Once you’ve created this new amazing piece of content it’s time to get it out in front of people, but how do you do that? Sure you’ve posted it on all the major social media outlets, but it hasn’t been everything you’ve hoped for. Lets find out what you can do to get the clicks, visits, and back links you want.
-
Find old related articles – Do a quick search for other articles titled the same, or close to, the infograph you’ve created. Now what is more relevant than an article that is directly related? Finding a blog article is the easiest part, now getting your content added is where it gets difficult. You need to convince the blog writer that your infograph can add value to the article. Often it helps to play to the writers ego, let them know how great the article is, how much people love it, and how useful it is to readers. This makes writers proud of their work, ultimately having them more likely to add your content so you can share it with more viewers.

Locate industry niche sites – This is the most common way to build back links. Find sites related to yours, there are many ways to do this, contact them and ask for a link. The biggest takeaway from this approach is to make sure you only email your infograph to sites that are related to yours. Everyone knows how important relevancy is when it comes to back linking. If you create an infographic that is unique and helpful then you should have no problem having sites related to yours add your infographic.

Infograph focused sites – There are hundreds (of good quality) sites that post an assortment of infographics. Many of these sites you can simply submit, some are paid, some you must find an email address for a direct contact. Many of the free ones you will come across you will notice the links are ‘no follow’ links. These are not a complete lost, plus you’re getting the content in front of more eyes. More people that see it the more chances it will be shared and linked to. There are many blog posts out there that gives lists of sites that post infographics. You’ll notice quickly many of the sites are old, cost to post, or are not updated often. Time to sift through the junk.
Many SEO marketers will create an amazing infographic and share it on their social media accounts. After a few weeks, there’s some ‘likes’, maybe a tweet, if they’re lucky a back link. Content isn’t going to present itself to readers, it has to be put out there. By placing it in front of people the odds of content being shared increases. People need a bit of a push to begin sharing your work.
